It is an easy way for friends and family to catch up on whats going on in my life. Appeases the mother in law. :) I also do it because it is easier than a journal for the mundane things. I have my own personal journal for things that would be way too personal for the internet. Mainly for family to read, and catch up. It lets them in on our life when we don't call.
I did my 3 or 4 blog posts months ago to let people know what was going on with us when we were in Hawaii, but it's not at necessary or fun now that we're in Texas. I also hoped it would be a good was to use some creativity, because I like writing. But alas, my laziness got the best of me. And now, I can't even write about my days at work because of confidentiality laws. Oh well.

I blog because it is fun and a good way to keep a record of our happenings. My family can see pictures and know whats going on with our lives. It's true pictures are worth a thousand words, so it's nice to share our lives with loved ones who want to know about us. ...

It started as something to do while I was bored at work, really. Now I do it to stay connected on a not so superficial Facebook kind of way
I blog b/c I don't journal. It's a fun easy way for me to actually keep a record of my life instead of having to sit down and write it out in a book. Also it's a way for my family that is far away to know what's going on in our life and to get updated on things.
